Responding to Increased Incidence of Obesity and Associated Health Issues, The HealthCentral Network Launches Site to Support those Struggling with Weight

ARLINGTON, VA - The HealthCentral Network, Inc. (www.HealthCentral.com) has launched ObesityHelpConnection.com, a new online medical and peer-to-peer resource committed to helping and informing those struggling with obesity about drugs, surgeries and nutrition, along with offering a place to discuss and post questions.

Three expert writers, University of Pennsylvania clinical instruction Dr. Jeffrey Heit, television health reporter Amy Hendel, and trainer and motivational speaker Kenn Kihiu, will update the community frequently with information, relatable stories, and easy-to-follow tips for battling obesity. Heit has worked with his clients on effective and efficient exercise and nutrition and will focus on the relationship between obesity and metabolism. Hendel, author of “Fat Families, Thin Families,” will share tips to mold and shape families to make healthy and lasting life decisions. And high-energy coach Kihiu, who emphasizes that fitness can be fun, will be concentrating on body image issues and motivation.

Community tools also offer users the ability to support one another, track their body mass index, and ask and answer one another’s questions about symptoms, treatment and other pertinent health issues.
